After a lot of running around, and 3 trips to the airline office, we have 2 tickets for Wednesday night the 2nd of March on Qatar Airways. Today was all about running around, getting Tara's passport from the US Embassy so I could get the tickets (they wanted to see the visa, but after much explaining that I won't get it until Tuesday, we compromised that I promised to bring it in if they booked the tickets today). Then of course, we went to book the tickets and the 2nd was sold out - so there was a lot of gnashing of teeth and impatience on my part, and a lot of patience on their part, and finally 2 seats showed up so we grabbed them!
We have our embassy interview on Monday - mostly a formality to go through the paperwork and answer a few questions - and should get the visa on Tuesday (or Wednesday morning at the latest). So now it's time to simply enjoy our last few days, hang out with friends, do a last round of shopping and pack.
I promise more pictures this weekend - just been too busy to take photos!!
